McNarry Jct. was renamed to Hon Dah. AZ 73 circles through the Ft. Apache Indian Reservation from AZ 260 to US 60, the Ft. Apache to US 60 segment being a later addition.

The segment from Hon Dah to Springerville became AZ 260. The leg south of Ft. Apache became Indian Route 9.
